  • To process and respond to your kitten enquiry

  • To manage our waiting list and match you with suitable kittens

  • To communicate with you about pregnancy announcements, litter updates and kitten availability, where you have consented

  • To fulfil our contractual obligations if you purchase a kitten from us

  • To comply with legal obligations, including export documentation

  • To improve our website and services

 

5. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING

We process your personal data under the following legal bases: your consent where you have opted in to marketing, the performance of a contract for kitten purchases, our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and running our business and legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party, and we never will. In order to fulfil our obligations to you, we may on occasion need to share relevant information with trusted parties including our veterinarian for the purpose of health certificates, airline carriers in the case of international exports, the GCCF for kitten registration purposes, KatKin in order to arrange a complimentary box of food for your new kitten, our pet insurance provider to arrange your complimentary cover and our microchip registration service to register your kitten's microchip details. In every case, data is only shared where it is strictly necessary and all parties are subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.

7. DATA RETENTION

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with legal requirements. Enquiry data is typically retained for 2 years. Purchase data is retained for 7 years in line with HMRC requirements.

8. YOUR RIGHTS

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure, object to processing, request restriction of processing and data portability. To exercise any of these rights please contact us.
