Finding a Siamese kitten should feel exciting — not confusing. At The House of Siamese we have thought deeply about every step of the journey, from your very first message to the moment your kitten walks through your front door. Whether you have just discovered us, are already on our list, or are simply researching how responsible GCCF-registered Siamese breeders in the UK operate — this is for you.
We believe the process of finding your kitten should be just as joyful as having them. Here is exactly how it works.
How the Siam-Amor waiting list works
We do not operate on a strict first-come, first-served basis alone. Matching is everything. The right kitten in the right home is what we are working towards with every single litter — and that takes genuine thought, not just a queue.
Secured Waiting List vs Standard — what is the difference?
🐾 Secured Waiting List — requires a £100 non-refundable deposit (deducted from your final balance). Secured families are always given priority when a litter arrives, worked through in order of position.
🐾 Standard Waiting List — completely free to join. Standard families are contacted once all Secured matches are confirmed. No deposit, no obligation — but availability is naturally less guaranteed.
If you are serious about a Siam-Amor kitten, the Secured list is the route we recommend. Many families stay across multiple litters until the perfect match arrives. You can read our full waiting list terms and conditions on our website.
The enquiry journey — step by step
Step one — your initial enquiry
Everything begins with our kitten enquiry form. We ask you to fill it in as thoroughly as you can — your home, your lifestyle, your experience with cats, what you are looking for in a Siamese companion. This is not bureaucracy. It is how we get to know you. Every form is read personally. You will not receive a template reply. We aim to respond within 72 hours.
Step two — when a litter is born
When a new litter arrives, we share the news on our journal, Facebook and Instagram. Secured families are contacted first in order of position. Matching considers your colour and sex preferences — but also personality. A bold, adventurous kitten may thrive in a busy household. A gentler soul may be better suited somewhere quieter. This is the kind of detail that makes a real difference.
Step three — from reservation to collection day
From the moment your kitten is reserved, we keep you fully updated. Regular photographs, developmental milestones, personal messages. By collection day, you will already feel like you know your kitten. Every Siam-Amor kitten leaves fully vaccinated, microchipped, GCCF registered, health screened, litter trained and socialised — with a complete kitten pack prepared especially for them.
What makes The House of Siamese different
There are Siamese breeders, and then there are breeders who are completely, unapologetically obsessed with the breed. We fall firmly in the second category.
🐾 Every litter receives our undivided attention — we do not produce many litters and that is entirely intentional
🐾 Every kitten is handled daily from birth and socialised across a wide range of experiences and stimuli
🐾 We are GCCF registered, health-test all our breeding cats, and every kitten is hereditarily PRA clear — read more about our girls
🐾 Every kitten leaves on a carefully considered contract with a return clause — because a Siam-Amor kitten is our responsibility for life
🐾 We export worldwide — international enquiries are always welcome

Question we are often asked
How long is The House of Siamese waiting list?
This varies depending on your preferences and whether you join Secured or Standard. The best way to understand your current position is to complete our enquiry form — we will give you an honest picture.
What happens if my circumstances change after I join the waiting list?
Life happens — we completely understand. If your circumstances change, please just let us know as soon as possible. Deposits on our Secured list are non-refundable, but we will always try to work with families in genuine difficulty. Transparency and communication is all we ask.
Can I choose which kitten I get?
We take your preferences into account — colour, sex, personality type — but the final matching decision always rests with us. Our experience as breeders means we often see things about a kitten's temperament that photographs alone cannot show.
Can I visit before deciding whether to join the waiting list?
We do not generally offer open visits before a litter arrives, as our girls are part of a home environment rather than a cattery. However, we are always happy to answer questions by message or email, and you are very welcome to follow our journal and social media to get a real sense of who we are before committing.
Do you export kittens internationally?
Yes — we export Siam-Amor kittens worldwide and handle all export documentation. International families are very welcome to enquire. Please note that export timelines and requirements vary by destination country and we will advise you fully at the time of enquiry.
